I have some readers and users of WP who told me about the bugs in the newly released WordPress and had cautioned me against upgrading. I did a little lurking around the support forum and did not see any major problems brought forward by the members.
Anyway, during the weekend, I had upgraded almost all my blogs to WordPress 2.1.
Personal blog – 1,800 posts : Upgraded with no problem
Womenblog – Upgraded from 2.05 to 2.1 with no problem
The rest of the blogs – Upgraded from 2.06 to 2.1 with absolutely no problem. In fact, after a while, I got so quick, I even forgot to deactivate plugin and just dumped the files over. Also no problem.
I like the new dashboard with the extra buttons. I love the autosave feature. I absolutely adore the new Askimet 2.0 which worksso well with the Bad Behaviours (latest version). Now, I don’t have three-four pages of spam each morning.
I use a lot of plugins and hacks. None of them gives me any problem as well. I read that the Ultimate Tag Warrior may be give some problems so I had the deactivated.
The only puzzling this is I am not sure why on some of my blogs dashboard, I have the option of visual and code whereas, on others, there is none. Which means I have to go to User to select/deselect the option.
I can’t figure out why. Anyone? Anyway, I use code most of the time because it is easier to paste my Flickr and PPP codes over.
So, still afraid of upgrading?

The visual thingy is based on each user’s preferences leh… by default it should be visual.
