21Apr Writing paid posts take discipline
Previously, before I am into monetizing my blog, I only switch on my PC to see if I have any comments. Then, when I was putting Adsense, I have another purpose to turn on the PC. After that, when I started writing paid posts, it was to catch some paid opps.
However, lately, I have more assignments and these are mailed to me. Therefore, I have developed this habit (i am not sure good or bad) of hitting the ‘on’ button the moment I got out of bed. The laptop is at my bedside and therefore, before I even get into the bathroom, I had fired it up.
It is now like work to me. But sometimes it is like a chore too because there are so many mails that I do not wish to see. Or reply. Then again, it is paying me well. It pays better than a regular job. So, I am not complaining. It is nice to wake up and see mails from TextLinkAds, SponsoredReviews, PayPay, PayPerPost…and all the other companies telling me money is coming in.
Even on a weekend, I will snatch a few minutes to clear whatever needs my attention. So, once you are comfortably into earning money from your blog, it is already a work that needs the equal amount of respect, dedication and time like your regular 9-5 oh boring and mundane work.

Truly agree. It’s a Sunday morning (now)..the moment I got out of bed ..even before brushing my teeth and clean my face, I walk towards my laptop on press the ON button. Even refused to go out for breakfast with hubby and kids. Blogging is like a work to me now.

that’s the first thing i did when i woke up as well… i walk up to my computer room, and wake the monitor up to see if there’s any opps that i could take… :)
these days i make it a point to wake up a little bit earlier… :)

i felt so lazy to turn on my computer after work as i have been using it for more 8 hours per day.
It need to have new momentum that keep me on…i would like to have same earning from blogging as well so that i can use the computer for some extra personal income other then just working for company which will never end.
hope i will be as u guys..can turn on my computer to check if any money coming into my account…it’s cool!!!

Heh, what ON button? My PC and DSL is always on, 24/7. That is, unless Screamyx decides to shut me out.

True, it’s more like a job. No paid post, no money. But it’s the best job I’ve got so far and I like it even if it’s quite tiring sometimes. But no complains!
