I am now regretting upgrading to WP 2.5. I have a blog which is almost four years old and has over 3,000 posts.
Since I upgraded to WP 2.5, I have this problem of publishing a post or even editing a post. It takes forever to finish and sometimes, it takes over a minute. Nowadays, I have to leave it to publish and go and make myself a cup of tea in the meantime.
I do not have this problem with smaller database or blogs but only this particular huge blog. I know someday I need to slice my blog into tiny slices or else it will be eating up a lot of my CPU resources (whatever that means). This is the reason why I have to host my blog on a virtual private server because regular server will die with the huge load.
And I just read that they are coming with WP 2.5.1 to fix some bugs and WP 2.6. I hope it is going to be a one click upgrade. I also hope they will make the dashboard a darker tone because sometimes, it is hard to read when I am in bright places. The other thing I hate about WP 2.5 is I cannot immediately tell which are the comments awaiting moderation. Gee, I got so much complaints! I love WP. Am a WP fan. But these are the tiny issues that bug me.
What about you? Have you upgraded and find anything that needs improvement?

In any case too many plugins may slow down your blog and are all of them WP2.5 compatible?
