Under the WidgetBucks dashboard, there is one column call My Bucks and it is suppose to show our income for the previous month. I have been checking almost every day for the total I made in October.

Finally, they tabulated the income today.

USD 25 is the sign up bonus given by WidgetBucks to us when we sign up.
USD 28.10 is the amount of clicks I earned
USD 4.40 is the referral income I earned from those who signed up with my referral

So when do I get paid?

Payment is issued 45 days following the month your account balance reaches $50.00

Still a long time to go.

So, how did I earn the referral income?

Do you have a referral program? How much does it pay?

Yes. When you refer a new WidgetBucks user, you will receive a 10 percent referral fee based on the commissions earned by the people you refer. You’ll receive this 10 percent for the full 12 months after the new member joins. Your referral fees will be credited to your account and paid monthly, along with your commission payout. So, if you refer someone, and they make $100 in commissions, we pay you $10; if they make $1,000, we pay you $100. This continues for a whole year on all the commissions they earn.

To simplify, I signed up with someone’s affiliate badge. (gosh! I cannot remember who!) He now earns 10% of the USD28.10 I made.

How many referrals do I have now?

I have 53. :P I hope they are doing well with WidgetBucks because I will be able to get 10% of what they earn. And no, that 10% is not taken from your income.

Some observations I made with WidgetBucks

They seem to pay more per click if you are a new account holder. Some products fetch higher price than others. Sorry, I am not at liberty to reveal which products but try to find something more expensive to sell. :P MerchSense has better payout too but I dislike it because most times, the products are either camera, laptop or coffee machine. Boring. I would rather tailor the products I display according to the theme of my blogs. And they do fetch many clicks.

One reminder

Remember that your site visitor may get distracted by WidgetBucks and click on it rather than your Adsense. So, keep track and see if you are losing your Adsense income. But then, my Adsense clicks fetch 3 cents most times so WidgetBucks work for me because per click can fetch up to 95 cents or at the minimum 20 cents.
