Was my eyes playing tricks or did I just see a PR 2/10?

Last night, I was very sure I saw a PR 2/10 over at my very new, barely one month old faith blog. At first, I thought that it must have jammed up and was collecting some PR from other pages. You know…sometimes, you get the PR of the last site you visited until the page finished loading?

So, I get out of my site and log in again. There again, it shows a faint PR2/10. My excitement was equivalent to the faint lines of a pregnancy test. However, I had to tell myself that it cannot be because the site is barely a month old and I have not even got around to instal the plugin for Google Sitemap.

But I had been following this PR update madness and been checking with every available PR prediction tools available. I am a sucker for that kind of links. When I get some numbers, I will bluff myself that the prediction is true. But when I get big fat zeros from all the datacenters, then, I will huff and puff and walk off.

Now, I just checked Christian-Journey.com and yeap, the little PR2/10 is still showing. I can’t believe it! ‘Cos this freaking 5xmom.com had been getting nothing but PR zero every single time I check the PR prediction tool from every available resources. This is so frustrating! And the weird thing is this site never get any organic traffic. Nothing at all. I had submitted the site but probably, Google just hate the name 5xmom. *sobs*

Please don’t get obsessed with PR like me. It is bad. Very bad.

I think its because of your URL. The name “5xmom” is not good for SEO but “Christian-Journey” is a very good SEO name.

PR is important, but indeed don’t get sucked into it.
Very simple technique to get PR2 or 3 is to write a small article, make an exe ebook out of it, to distribute as a freeware. Then submit it to freeware sites, they will link to your website and after a few months you’ll get at least PR2. I even got up to PR4 on one of my websites strictly with this technique.
    Good luck.
