We've been thanking our lucky stars for DiGi EDGE today - Streamyx dead again (until 2pm!). DiGi EDGE is slow (best 5x dialup), but reliable like your father's old hammer. If I wasn't trying to run some servers from my desk, I'd cut the line and go 'TM Free'.

I have been using celcom broadband more than 1 year. Haha...I always got exciding 5Gb warning every month, so always got my speed controled. I found out that the speed only high for only a few days expecially arround 20-25. Is true that lately the speed is like turtle :(. I want to switch to the celcom home, hop, away package where both celcom broadband 384kpbs + streamyx 1Mbps for only RM108. with this you can also + another RM10 for the combo package for the fixed line charges. The worse thing is has to tie 18mths agreement :(.

hai,

i think we will never see any salvation regarding fast internet connection in Malaysia ^_^... but for anyone who use streamyx broadband i can share a little tip with you ... try to find an ip address range(DEPENDS ON YOUR LOCATION) which provide you with the fastest download speed for example in my place 60.49.xx.xx ... try connect and disconnect your internet connection to search for good ip ranges once you find it remember it for ur next time usage ... BE CAREFULL WITH THE TIME INTERVAL BETWEEN RENEWING YOUR CONNECTION, connect and disconnect your internet btwn 10 -15 min at one time only.. if you renew your ip too many time/rapidly in a short duration, TM will rotate your ip in the same range... because such action is like hammering their ip distribution system/ i forgot the system name ^_^.. i have been using this trick since starting this year..bcoz before this streamyx connection is good( i use it since 2005, 1 mb package(rm88)) but now got some prob .. better they fix it before anyone come with better solution... better speed( maybe never ^_^) anyway ... good luck
salaamzzz ^_^
