How will you feel if you have thirty thousand pairs of eyes looking at you everyday? What will you do if you know thirty thousand people will be sitting down at your feet and waiting for the wise words to come from your mouth? I think I don’t ever want that kind of attention because it is damn freakish you know? You no longer have any privacy. You cannot afford to make mistakes, not even typing errors. You have to out perform yourself each day so that these thirty thousand folks will go ‘aha…..’ and nod their heads like they have just been enlightened by the wise old man up on the hill, who strokes his white, long beard.

But that’s what Darren Rowse of Problogger is facing each day, I suppose. Of course, he probably has a cushy income so it is bearable.

I don’t know how others feel but all the Top 50, Top 100 and etc lists have its pros and cons. They are not necessary very accurate. Those who made it to the list (like me, me, me on #37) will bask in the fakey glory with our big heads. Those who didn’t make it yet may probably feel left out. At the end of the day, those top 10 will forever maintain their diva (ooops, what do you call a male diva LOL) status while the rest will struggle till kingdom come. Blogging is not easy. You are either lucky (like me, me, me) or you are in the industry and has the latest scoop before it hits the news.
