The most thrilling moment for a blogger

You know what gives me the adrenalin rush? To test my SEO mettle whenever there something dramatic happens in the world or in my country. Of course, I run a personal blog so I can afford to bite on the issue and don’t let go until I get the top spot. Sometimes, it takes a bit of luck to sniff out the news first. Sometimes, it takes a bit of cunning skill to guess what are the likely keywords people will use to search. Sometimes, it takes our blog authority (e.g. the pagerank) to ‘run’ ahead of the pack.

And when I get that, I will sit back and give myself a pat on the back that I had pwned all the important keywords and see a spike in my blog traffic. Nevermind that I am doing it at the expense of the poor man and his family. After all, who ask him to take his birdie out of his pants and get caught on video? It ain’t my fault that I can spin a story with all the keywords and yet, I didn’t have any sex video to show on my site. Hey, I am not stupid ok? Putting a link there will get a Google smack. Not that I care what the poor man thinks about his sex act being shown on the WWW. I only care about what Googlegod thinks.

By the way, have you put the ‘Subscribe to my feed‘ plugin on your blog? Try it. When you have a surge of traffic, people will most likely subscribe because they do not want to miss out on future updates of this latest gossip in Malaysian politics.
