29Sep The exchange rate I get from Western Union/CIMB is only RM3.31=USD1 - What’s yours?
I just cashed out my Google Adsense income from CIMB through Western Union bank and the rate is USD1 equivalent to RM3.31 only. Chey, I was expecting RM3.45. Hehehe, I know, I know, higher rate spells bad news for our country but then, what the heck? I am not the Finance Minister of Malaysia, you know?
I asked Bank Simpanan Nasional and apparently, the rate is the same. I am not sure how true is this. They said the exchange rate is fixed on the day Western Union wired over the money and not the current day exchange rate, i.e. the day we go to the bank to cash out.
Anyone knows if this is true? Have you cashed out your Adsense this month and what exchange rate did you get?

If I am not wrong, the exchange rate paid out to us is based on either the rate at time it was wired by Google or when it was cashed out by us. Needless to say, it has to be the lower one between the two.

I got mine days ago at 3.38. Only now I know the rate was fixed at the time Google WU the money. So there is no need to hunt for the right day when the graph spikes to withdraw the money.

Yes, the rate will be the rate of the day money is wired to your account. Unless yours is a USD current account then the USD will be kept in USD until you convert it to RM. Then it will be the rate of the conversion day.
