De-indexed by Google - The worst possible smack, worse than PR 0
I read that a few bloggers have their sites de-indexed from Google’s index. It is like the ultimate burial. With PR 0, you are sort of left to die without foods. However, crumbs will still come by.
With de-index, you are like killed and buried.
So, how do you know if your site has been de-indexed? Just type in your full url and do a Google search. If you get nothing, i.e. no results found, you know you are dead.
Of course, there is always Yahoo and MSN and a host of other search engines which will drive organic traffic to you. But many paid post companies do not want blogs that are not indexed by Google.
When you start a new blog, your blog is not index. Sometimes, it takes just a day to get your site indexed. Sometimes, it takes a longer time. To make it faster, you can ask your friends to link your new blog from their blogs. Getting a link from a blog post is better than getting a link on a sidebar.
After a while, your blog will be in Google’s index.
And the opposite can happen too. One day, Google found out that your site is too crappy and not worth’s anybody’s time and wham, they kill you.
If that site is your one and only blood, sweat and tears, you may want to find out how to rectify it. Have you done anything naughty like stuffing it with all kinds of craps? Have you been stuffing things against Google Webmasters policies? If you clear all those, you can submit your site for reinclusion. Read how I got my Google pagerank back. It works almost the same way.
Or if that’s not an important site, you can always move on.
I seem to know a lot eh? Heh, talking from experience. I learn a new thing each time I get a smack. That’s why there is a Chinese saying, ‘ai meh kah eh bak chiew kim’ or ‘need to get scold to get the eyes widen’.
Moral of the story - Dun farkit with Google. They will keep strangling you forever.

Check your internal pageranks
This post is not for those who are Google smacked. Please stay away or you will smack me for rubbing it in. However, I hope there are lessons to be learn from my mistakes.
One of my blog (I shall not reveal which) which was Google smacked got PR 0. It was previously a PR 4/10. Then, I applied for reconsideration. And I got back not only my main URL pagerank of 4/10, I also got back all the internal pages pageranks.
Many people still insist that pagerank does not matter in SERPs. It is not true. It has a lot of weight there. I have observed for a while and I am darn frustrated that no matter how, my position is always behind those who have PR 5/10. And those who have lesser PR tails behind my blog.
There are certain keywords that I was tracking and the results always go by the pagerank.
eg. pig dream (just an example, don’t run and Google)
Play-play Google search results
1. Blog who has PR 5/10 with the mention
2. Blog who has PR 4/10
3. Blog with PR 3/10
I am lucky that not many people has PR 5/10 (forget about 6/10 and above) in that blogging niche. I am also lucky that many of my internal pages have PR 3 to PR 1.
You can check your internal pages pagerank from Livepr. And a good tip is to improve, add tags, add keywords, make the title more relevant and edit those pages. Of course, use the SEO plugin for Wordpress. Also if there are any useful keywords that you can link to your other pages, do it. Advertisers have to pay good money to get a link from us, so why not just take advantage of this for our own good? However, don’t stuffs too many links or Google may think you are a link farm.
We may have 2,000 posts on one blog but sometimes, 20 pages are all we need to get the traffic.
Here’s a screenshot from LivePr for this blog internal pageranks. Wakahkahkah….it says I have PR 10 on all pages. Who knows…it may be future PR prediction, eh?
System screwed up. :P
