Stop feeling apologetic for making money from your blog!

I sincerely apologize if this blog is too commercialized for you as a reader, but you got to under (stand) my plight. You can either continue to be my regular or you can immediately close the browser and forget anything about the The yadda yadda blog name.

I randomly picked up the above para from a random blog and feel like using it as an example.

These days if you had been a regular visitor to my blog, you would have realized that besides having Google Adsense, I also put up advertisements from XYZcompany and ABCcompany. These adverts will help me achieve some form of passive money.

I mean, yo dude, just do whatever you want with your freaking blog and who gives a damn what others think? We are serving the main contents to the readers and whatever is on the side, top, bottom are not their concerns. It is not like we take a gun and point at them to click the ads?

And if you have taken the path of writing paid posts, don’t bother to apologise. People will hate those kind of blog. No amount of apologies help. So live with it. It is a pain in the ass if readers keep seeing apologies after apologies and reading about your guilt trip. There is nothing you can do about it. If you want the money, just do it. If you are afraid of losing readers, then, don’t. There is no choices in between.

I do think bloggers who started their blogs have in their heart rapport with their readers. People to come and read what they write. :-)It’s not easy to develop that trust and I guess a good blogger will cherish the relationship.

You’re right… it’s not so much an issue writing paid posts as long as the blogger themselves continue to blog honestly. :-)

There are sadly some blogs who has totally commercialized into nothing but ads ads ads.. Of course it’s their business, but then it just shows the owner’s lack of sincerity on blogging itself. lol

For as long as I can find 1 or 2 new info and knowledge there, by all means they can put how many adverts they want. And as long as they can keep on coming with more and more useful stuff, i’ll keep on visiting.

I migrated to a new blog for blogging fun, and leave the cash cow as one, I am certainly not guilty that I am making some money off it.:-)

It’s quite difficult to find a blog out there that is completely ads-free. Isn’t writing paid posts another form of advertisement just like having adsense? I wonder why some people are so “allergic” to it.
