Since I upgraded to WP 2.0.5, I notice an increased of spams.
Askimet has like 7 pages or 300+ spams every morning I log on to my WP dashboard. Out of that, at least 3-4 are genuine comments. It is a nightmare to pick out the genuine comments but I owe it to the people who commented so I had been doing de-spamming.
I tried Bad Behaviour but one of my blog reader told me she couldn’t access my blog from her office. Meanwhile, another guy told me he couldn’t comment from Telekom dial-up line. So, I had to ditch Bad Behaviour.
Then, the earlier Spam Karma caused my comments count to be 0 all the time even when there are comments. Â So, I also had to forget it.
But I am in luck today. Apparently, DrDave, the unknown genius has a new release which is the 2.2 FINAL (released 02/12/06). Now my comment count is working. And you bet that if it eats away all my spam with less false positives, I am going to send DrDave my love (in the form of a donation).
Current release: 2.2 FINAL (released: 02/12/06)

Is this the end of spams that spans several pages long?
