It could just be a rumor. It may be true, one day. Whatever it is, we who have blogs will herald this as good news.
So again…. there is no credible source that is saying Google is getting into the paid review marketplace but it would certainly seem like it would be a very good business move for them.
What do you think? Could we see Paid Reviews via the Adwords/Adsense system in 2008?
I enjoy reading the comments on “Google sucks”. You should too. Who cares if Google sucks as long as they have some products to help us make money? For us who are in Malaysia, it is not like we have many other options except for Nuffnang, selling some affiliate programs (aka braff peeples kind), paid posts, banner ads and text links.
So….are you hoping this could be true?
BTW, I hope none of you deleted off Blogitive paid posts because they warned me this morning when an advertiser cannot find the links. I didn’t delete them but I changed the permalink structures. The advertisers freaked out and I was warned by Blogitive to get the links working or I will be locked out of Blogitive. KNN, I have over USD200 unpaid yet. Note that Blogitive links are permanent….
Anyway, I mailed them the new URLs and everything is solved.

(January 29, 2008 - 3:33 pm)It would be interesting to see how Google manages paid reviews by themselves (if indeed they choose that path). Would they be first to stipulate to their advertisers that links are nofollow? ;)
As for Nuffnang, I am at two minds about taking them off my blogs. Advertisers are few and rare to want to advertise at my blogs. Not that I don’t have any traffic to show. I am just wondering whether they can sustain their business pace. With the same amount of space, I am now making at least 10x more with another advertiser (you know which one). Should I weed them out? I am willing to support them but if the amount of exposure I give to them (through page impressions) is far more than what they could reciprocate, then I may have to seriously think about weeding them off.

(January 29, 2008 - 4:54 pm)Wonder if they’ll smack us for doing their paid reviews? :) As for Nuffnang, I think if your Malaysian/Asian traffic is high then it translates into ads. I don’t have many other options so I just leave them there and enjoy the thrill of getting an ad or two

(January 29, 2008 - 6:02 pm)Google is getting into this ‘sin’ business. If this is true, I won;t call them God anymore :p
BTW, which of the paid posting companies do not require permanent link?
