01Nov Reminder on ad companies that don’t play together
Being the nice and kind blogger, allow me to give some reminders to bloggers that certain ad companies do not play well together. Many of us are too lazy to read the fine prints and I too rarely bother to read them.
So, here are three companies to be aware of :
Chitika and Kontera
Note that if you are running Kontera, you cannot insert Chitika ads. The reason given by Kontera is :
I wrote to you some time ago and I do not see that you have resolved this matter. It is important to us to maintain fast responses when pages load.
Please remove all competitive in-text products from your pages immediately, as we are not willing to work in conjunction with any other in-text providers.
So, I replied :
Thanks for reminding me. Actually, I forgot that I still have one blog running Kontera. If you take a look at my account, I have taken off Kontera ads from my blogs except http://www.mymomsbest.com. The reason is I overlooked the matter. Sorry.
Therefore, to put on record, I am no longer running Kontera ads. I still have a sum of money due to me and I hope to be able to run Kontera in future.
Thank you.Lilian
Chitika Premium ad is working well for me. I love it because my regular readers do not see it. It only appears to USA, search traffic. Therefore, I stuffed some ads and I don’t get annoyed because I simply cannot see them! Whoopee! I love Chitika! I can place Chitika below my title, in the middle of my post and anywhere I want. Sign up for Chitika and try it.
Kontera versus Infolinks
If you are interested in Kontera, you can give it a try ‘cos it does make money too.
but I am giving Infolinks a trial run now and it also makes money as well. Both are not against Adsense. However, please note that you cannot run Infolinks with Kontera.
FOODBUZZ VERSUS NUFFNANG or any type of banner ads
Foodbuzz is for selected food bloggers only. Do not place any other banner ads if you are running Foodbuzz. I have been asked to take down Nuffnang ads. You can do paid post, keep Adsense, Chitika Premium and even Infolinks. But never put any other type of banner ads.
Does your food blog has what it takes to be Foodbuzz community of excellent food bloggers? Find out by submitting your food or wine blog to foodbuzz .
So, now you have some ideas on what ad companies do not play well together, do make a choice and choose one. Do not wait till you are warned to do it. Hehehe, let me be your guinea pig instead.

Thanks for the heads-up, this is a great tip for novice bloggers. You are so right that many of us are too lazy to read the fine prints and count me in too because I never read Terms/Conditions hehehe⦠though I always see to it to read FAQ if there is any :)

I’m running Chitika and Kontera with no problems in my site. They both performed well to my blogs.
Tested Chitika for 35 days and it gives me extra $301 dollars.. this is really a good source of online income

After giving NN another chance, I am thinking of killing it for good because there is no advertiser. Why waste my prime space on them? :P

Karla from Chitika here.. You can also use Chitika with Google Adsense, in fact we recommend it since they complement eachother quite nicely.
