11Oct Postings will be slow for a while
I may slow down postings these few days unless something that needs to be written on the spot. I am sorry that there are many mails which I haven’t got around to reply. I got all the mails but I am thinking of collecting them and reply all at the same time. Thanks for writing to me and I am very touched with the earnest questions put to me. I will attempt to give you answers to all your questions.
Meanwhile, the reason I am slowing down is because my hubby is on long, long leave as he has just completed his VSS (voluntary service separation?). He has worked with the Italian firm for almost 20 years and yes, he does have a comfortable compensation. And no, our family doesn’t need to rely on my online income.
Talking about his income and her income, the best lesson I learned as I matured is always let the man brings the bacon home and eventhough when it may not be enough, make him feel like it is. I have seen many marriages with bumps because sometimes, the wives overlook this matter. They thought they can wear pants and take over. There is nothing a man hates than the idea of him not being able to support the family. So, wives, never say it out loud that you need to work because one income is not enough.
So, things are status quo. I am still making an income online but muahahahar….those still goes into my bank, untouched. We shall rely on him and the moolahs he got as compensation. But I will be busier now that he is around to drag me all over town, shopping and eating. He will only start working in a couple of months time.
Wish me luck. Eeeekkk…..I love the privacy I have now, i.e. the whole morning with only my four years old (who usually wakes very late at noon). I hope he doesn’t drive me up the wall. LOL. BTW, to those not familiar with me, I am married for a long, long time. We have lived in together for 22 years and married for 19 years this coming November. That’s half my life with him!

I so agree with you. I used to earn a bit more than my husband, but after my 2nd child I decided to quit. Almost immediately I can see a change in my husband, taking on more responsibilities financially and otherwise, and looking happier about it! Men are weird.
Do you think after a while your husband would want to blog about his experience, maybe do us a favour by giving financial advice, something like that? :) (not that you haven’t done a great job already)
