I went to cash out my Google Adsense income for July 2008. Normally, I use Western Union and cash through CIMB where I have an account.

I am so, so happy that US dollar is gaining strength and I get a better rate this month. For every USD1, I get RM3.359. With this exchange, I easily earn RM200 more than I expected. Whoopee!

I went to issue a bank draft in Indian Rupees. I need to pay Rs2,000 for a course in Theology from India. Initially, when I received the quoted amount, I was so worried that I couldn’t afford it. The course in Theology comes in several units and Rs2,000 is the cost for one unit. I thought, OMGAWWWDDD!!! How to afford so much money.

But hehehe, I found out that Rs2,000 is just about RM166 only. So yeah, I am studying the ’science of God’ (Theo = God, logy = science) on a distance learning course. And the best thing is this RM166 comes free because I am getting a better exchange rate.

Now, I cannot wait for payday for the rest of the ads income. I hope the exchange rate stays or go up to RM3.40 per USD1 when I cash out the rest of my income which normally comes in after the 1st of the month.

I have blogged about Chitika Premium but I am going to promote this one more time. Note that I don’t get any referral fees from it but I am telling you because I like it.

As you know, Google Adsense does not allow us to place the ad under our title, just before our post. That is the best location to place ads because I notice the click through rate is high.

So, what you can do with the space is to put a Chitika Premium ad. Here’s an example of my food blog’s ad. I don’t see the ads because it collapse into nothing if the visitors are not from USA. So, it is very neat.

Try to make money with Chitika, do sign up and take a test run. Don’t waste prime real estate like the space under your blog title.

I don’t have Windows XP because I am using a Mac machine. However, if you are using a pirated copy, then you may want to read this :

PETALING JAYA: Starting Wednesday, users with pirated copies of Microsoft Corp’s Windows XP Professional operating system (OS) on machines that are Internet-capable could find their computer displays going black and with no screen icons visible.

There are 8.6 million users of Win XP Pro in Malaysia and about three million are expected to suffer the “blackouts,” according to Microsoft Malaysia.

To continue working, the user would need to reset the machine’s desktop background. Everything will return to normal. But when 60 minutes are up, the black screen will reappear and the user must go through the whole process again.

This will keep happening until the user licenses the copy of Win XP Pro on the machine by going to a Microsoft reseller or getting a licence online at the www.microsoft.com/malaysia/genuine. Each licence costs RM580.

Anyway, I read that some people claimed that this move is probably to “herd business users into upgrading to its newest operating system, Windows Vista, which hasn’t garnered interest among companies because of its higher hardware requirements.”

Well, I must say Windows Vista sucks. Sony Vaio sucks. My Sony Vaio with licensed copy of Windows Vista is my footstool now. Mac rocks. Muahaharrr…

Have you have conversations with people who just do not know when to stop talking? They will yelp, yelp, yelp on and on eventhough we show signs of disinterest. Then, there are the constant whiners who will whine about the bad weather, the bad knees, the bad foods and bad mother-in-law and etc. These people are such a pain in the arse, aren’t they? Yet, sometimes we do not have the courtesy to tell them to shut up and we just bear and grin along.

Well, blogging is the same thing too. If you are writing a more staid and stiff blog topic, stop when you do not have anything new to offer your readers. Do not post for the sake of putting something online. Stop blogging for a few days and if it takes you several weeks, do it too. Normally, you do not owe your readers any apologies.

If you are writing a personal blog, then, all the more to keep quiet. If you are hot, people will be banging on your door, i.e. leaving comments asking you where you are. If you are not, no one misses you.

Knowing when to stop is good for us because it is better to be missed than to churn out lame posts and cause readers to find other more interesting blogs to read.

So, what do you think? Is it better to stop blogging when you are not inspired or is it better to keep posting some lame posts?

Oh ya…of course, there is also the harsh fact that you soon realise that you are not cut out to be a blogger and your blog just die like that. Better still, get rid of bad rubbish. Muahaharrr…actually, this is just another lame post because I am busy following the political news on the Permatang Pauh by-election.

For the non-Malaysian readers, we are having a small by-election in a small village tomorrow. If the favored candidate Anwar Ibrahim wins, he said he is going to be our next Prime Minister. So, that’s why a lot is at stake and I am gluing my focus over there until it is over. There are sex, sodomy, swear, poor God the witness, money, bribes, molests, fights and much more to be entertained with. My make money blogging is taking a second place right now. *keeps praying for shocking but positive results*

So, who is attending the movies, both in KL and Penang? Blek, when I was in Form Four, i.e. 16 yrs old, I sang the ‘I have a dream’ song in my school concert. OMG, I am as old as ABBA! Blek.

I have several blogs that I use entirely for making money. It is more of an informative blog and I never share the links nor get them known locally because I depend on USA traffic. Though the money that flows in make me happy, somehow, I still love my personal blog that makes pittance.

I can never sustain blogging or do anything online stuffs if there is no interaction between humans aka my blog readers/commentors and myself. I see very little purpose in churning out post after post of information for the sake of people to click on our ads or buy stuffs from the affiliate.

So, if you are thinking of making money through blogging, do make yourself a little private corner where you can express yourself as an individual. Do you notice that many of the bloggers like Darren Rowse, John Chow, Matt Cutts (not exactly make money but similar) and etc have a personality on their blog?

My advice is never charge on blindly, with your mind fixate on making money, writing fanatically and sweating over how much you have made or going to make. You will burn out and it takes the fun away from blogging. I know many new bloggers made a nuisance of themselves by writing a few posts and then, shitting all over the blogosphere with their shitty, inane comments with the hope of people visiting them. You are a nobody but a bunch of spams. Establish an identity first, get yourself a network of blog buddies and take it slowly.

It is not easy to maintain the balance of being a person and a money making blog but if you can do both, making money is much more meaningful.

It is 1.20 am.
I had a long day today, with seminar and a long talk.
Was out since 10 am, back for a while, out again, got back 6 pm.
Sat down and clear some of my work.
Do some house stuffs.
Lost the mood to write for money.
So, I started crapping nonsence on my blogs.
And in between, wrote some inane, useless filler posts.
Because the deadlines are here.
I need to stuff some paid posts in between.
But I need to find some nice stories to fill so that my regular readers don’t run.
It is going to be another long day tomorrow.
So, that means I won’t have time to do it during the day.
That means, I must, must, must complete things like right NOW.
I lost a few posts because I missed the deadline.

Now, I feel like Michael Buble. I also want to go home. Home where blogging was just for fun. When no one cares if I update or not. When I do not have to worry if I have secured my blogs with the latest secure version. When I do not need to keep up with the latest development, the latest money making oasis (btw, go try Adsense feeds).

But I cannot because the fucking line is so slow and I cannot get my things done faster. And I am addicted to this greenbacks….
