Online blogging for Google Adsense and pagerank

19May This blogger has two blogs on the top 35 blogs in Malaysia..

Actually, I have totally forgotten about Techno-roti and Alex-sai. I guess too many years of competing has made me jaded to these rankings and such. However, it is an honour to see two of my blogs up there on Riceblogger’s list of Top Malaysian blogs.

I think my Best Recipe Blog at http://www.malaysiabest.net would rank very high because it has more traffic than my personal blog which is on position #15.

This Make Money blog is on #34 (or #33 if you notice my webhost Bryan has two rankings).

Thanks, Adi! It is a nice thing to feel ‘On the top of the world’ sometimes…

And sorry there are not much updates at the moment because I am deeply involved in video filming, video journalism and video editing. It is one of those passions that I pursue till the ends of the earth until I find something else to amuse myself. Right now, money is not so important to me. Making a difference in the lives of others through my video camera is.

Just a sample of the things I do lately….Until the money bug bites, I think I won’t be updating so often.

Welcome to Make$ Money$ blog where you can learn how to make money from blogging. Please subscribe to my RSS feed so that you don't miss out any useful tips. Thanks for visiting and hope you learn something useful!

06May I have completed rehab

Most make money bloggers will tell you about their addictions to checking blog traffic stats and also checking the pennies and cents that trickle in during the whole day. Sometimes, the addiction is so bad, we check almost everytime we are near the computer. Sometimes, we check every few minutes.

And when we are away for a few days to some foresaken island with no internet access, we will be squirming on the fabulous beaches, wondering how much we have made in our Adsense account, was traffic today better than yesterday and so on. When we first get home, we will login into all our accounts and start checking the stats for the last seven days. Normally, we are hardly away from the internet access for more than two nights. One week may cause us foaming in the mouth, grinding on the ground and hallucinating.

But I am glad that right now, this past week, I am out of rehab. Sometimes, I forget to check my Adsense for 2 days. I have not logged into my Chitika every day. I didn’t bother to check how much those banner ads are paying this month. I only logged into PayPal at the beginning of the month and middle of the month to withdraw my income.

I don’t check my AlRahji bank every day to see if my PayPal transaction is through. I don’t check my Adsense payment panel starting from 25th of the month. I only remember to withdraw Adsense through Western Union last Saturday.

So, yes! I am completely cured of my addiction to making money. Wait, it is not that I don’t have money coming in but the urge to check every few minutes is no longer there. Whoopee!

02May You stupid lameass Jackson of stupid domain chaching

You and all the worms of the earth probably do not know that you get peanuts stealing other bloggers’ blog posts and use it as your own. You should go back to your mother’s breast and learn that unless you work aka suck your mother’s breast, you won’t get milk.

And you lame Jackson took my blog posts, and have the nerve to post it as ‘Posted by Jackson’.

Next time, if you or another oxymoron wishes to make money, go learn about the trade. Stealing blog posts won’t help you. Especially those blogs about making money.

And for goodness sake, don’t be so stupid to steal posts and do not know how to make sure your pingbacks don’t show on the bloggers’ blog whom you stole the posts from. If you want to be a thief, know how to clean your arse after you shit.

UPDATED : LOL, the moron actually auto blogged the post I dissed him. Screenshot taken from his blog.

20Apr You win some, you lose some..

Hey people! Do you notice that Google is doing some major, drastic, killing pagerank updates?

I lost some pagerank, including this site and several other sites. Yet, certain sites gained PR. So, I think I know what’s killing the pageranks. But I am not telling……

I have been away the whole weekend for a full day workshop. Now, I am too tired to bother about the pagerank cos I no longer sell links based on pagerank, well at least not visibly.

So, how many of you have been pageranked zero? Google seems to update their Google pagerank more and more often. To those of you who got pageranked zero, you can find out how to get them back. Just check under my Pagerank category, found on the sidebar. To those of you who gained pagerank, don’t be too happy yet. You may lose them in another few weeks, or another few months. Nyekkkkk…

15Apr Where is your blog hosted? Malaysia? USA? Russia?

I just read JedYoong who said :

A staff member from my web hosting company told me today that the police called them up.

I am not sure if the police plans to seize the servers.

And that makes me wonder…..

if she has hosted with a US company, will the police be able to pursue the matter?

Will the US webhosting gives a shit to such demand?

Her site is hosted by my very first webhost, INTEGRICITY. It is a company in KL. So, the police can go ruffle some feathers there.

Actually, I seriously wonder if the police has the nose to sniff at the right place or do they just use a long stick and swipe every leads, whether useful or not? Once, I brought some evidence to the police station using my thumbdrive. They wanted to keep the thumbdrive as ‘bukti’! I was like WTF, just transfer the blardy files I am giving you to your computer. Why the hell do they need the thumbdrive?

So, folks, do you think it is safer to host in the USA? My server is in the USA but my webhost is in my neighbourhood. So, taukeh Bryan, apa maciam? When they ring my bell, they ring your bell too, ok?

Arrggh…dont’ get me started on the politics, intimidation, conspiracy and other stuffs or else this post will never end.

13Apr Giving Blogged.my a buzz

If you are looking for local Malaysian blogs to read, you can find them at Blogged.my.

If you are a blogger desperate for traffic and wish to find a place to broadcast your new post, you can sign up with Blogged.my and ping your posts.

If you are a WordPress.org user like me, then, just sign up an account, add your long list of blogs, copy the ping URL over to your Setting > Writing > Update Services and let it roll on its own. It is a no brainer.

So far, the list of blogs appearing there looks good to me so that’s why I am giving it a buzz. I don’t know who develop the site but I hope there is no censorship.

There are other local blog aggregator services as well but some of them are concentrated to certain types of blogs. For example, Nuffnang Innit is like a bunch of teens blogs so I normally do not like to submit my posts there. What with monkeys who have nothing better to do than to nang and then, boast about it. Then, there is the old and reliable PPS but lately, my personal blog seem to ‘lag’, i.e. the ping doesn’t appear until many minutes later. I suspect I need to go through the Perbadanan Penyemakan Sampah (PPS) before my post is found suitable for the platform.

So, yeah, give Blogged.my a try before they close shop like so many other services.

Oh did I tell you I also had one blog aggregator before? But I was too lazy to maintain it. It is no fun administering a blog ping services where people take for granted and you don’t earn a cent from advertisements.

13Apr Google + Youtube + Gmail = our god

I just signed in to my Youtube account and was asked if I want to merge my Youtube account with Google.

I am not sure about others but with all these mergers and takeovers and whatnots, soon Google is going to watch every breath we take and every shit we make. LOL.

Let’s wait for Google to take over our Flickr photo account, Facebook, Twitter, WordPress and every darn thing on the internet and we will be praying hard to Google god because Google controls every single thing we do online.

Sheesh…. I shouldn’t be grumbling so much because Google Adsense is still giving me a comfortable income, Gmail is the more reliable email account, Google Analytics keep me happy with the stats they churn out and Google Youtube is where I get to broadcast everything I see. And let’s not forget Firefox, PICASA and Blogger. Oh, the annoying pagerank cult too!

So, all hail Google god.
