Today is a happy day. First, I got a cheque from Nuffnang. Actually I receive a cheque each month from Nuffnang now but sometimes, the amount is less and sometimes it goes as high as RM2,000. Read about my Nuffnang income for RM2,000.
Then, I receive payment from Kontera. I have actually forgot all about Kontera But I got a payment through Paypal for USD120. I also got another mail that I am earning some affiliate fees now. Just when I was about to give up on Kontera, I earn money!
So, all in all, I received about RM1,300 in payment from my efforts in blogging for money.
You can sign up for Kontera too if you wish to make money blogging. Kontera works by inserting links into your post. Those double underlined links are Kontera links. Meanwhile, for Nuffnang, I earn by placing banners. My main income from Nuffnang comes from my personal blog because it has high traffic and weekly, I can earn three digit income from my Nuffnang ads.
If you wonder if our income from Nuffnang is taxable, you should ask your accountant. My darling accountant (aka hubby) told me that if my monthly income does not exceed RM3,500, I won’t get taxed. It is going to be a loooong time till I have the taxman knocking on my door. You know what? If I am really earning over RM3,500 per month from Nuffnang, I will gladly pay my taxes.
Sometime back, Jeff Ooi has mentioned that income from blogging may be enough as pocket money but not as a full time job. Well, Jeff Ooi hasn’t heard of 5xmom’s blog income. Hahaha. But really, I see a bright future in blog advertising because since the Malaysia 12th General Election, blogs have taken on a totally new dimension. It is the powerful, influential, modern, respectable medium and all advertisers love that kind of vibes. Now, every politicians are starting to blog, including Ali Rustam, Khir Toyo and many more. Our only challenge is to be ahead of them in terms of reach, traffic and of course, SEO.
So, are you convinced that blogging can make money now? Why bother with all those mumbo-jumbo online entrepreneur talk when we can make money right in our backyard with Nuffnang?

(April 9, 2008 - 4:38 am)Kontera definitely pays, no question about it. Got a $10,000 check from them a few weeks ago. The only problem with them is that sometimes I notice pages with kontera ads often take too long to load.
