My working space

I am sure you have seen many of the probloggers showing either a video or photo of the place where they make their moolahs. Usually those guys are tech geeks and it can be expected that their working space consists of boring stuffs.

So, let’s see what a non-tech geek, total noob, make money online blogger like me has for her working space :

A pink table lamp which serves as my source of light after the hubby has gone to sleep. I work from the bedroom. In fact, I used to type from my bed but recently bought a decent chair and table because I want to get serious with making money and wish to set up a nice corner for myself.

This is during the day. I have a pink laptop, pink love hearts curtain which serves no purpose other than being pink, pink table cloth to protect my desk, pink cushion to support my back. The only ‘serious’ things are my high back chair which costs $399 and my desk. Otherwise, it is all Barbie doll house for me.

I have just shifted my table to face the window because hubby has set up a desk for himself next to me. We sit back-to-back so now I cannot crap so much on MSN and giggle. *sigh* There goes my freedom until that man goes back to work.

If you are serious about treating blogging as your work, do make a little corner for yourself to mark the territory. I have read about this tip from the e-homemakers book and it is actually a good idea. Once you established that territory, you feel more ‘official’ and tend to work in a more systematic manner.

So, that’s where I work from. Of course, during the day, I bring my laptop all over the house and type from the couch, in front of the TV as well. My next item of purchase is an iMac with Leopard.

Nice and so pinky workplace you have there.

I am always on the mobile mode though (not my choice). It’s hard to have a workplace for me though.

My ‘corner’ is never official as parents or sometimes brothers keep bugging me to run some errand or what not. Sigh, I need an office. :P

I love your lamp, especially when it’s lit! Looks like a nice work space, my table is all messy!
