07Feb May the Chinese Lunar New Year of the rat brings us lots of money and opportunities
I have been really busy preparing for the Chinese Lunar New Year which is today, 7th of February 2007. So, regular postings will have to wait until I am done with eating, cooking, visiting relatives and gambling. Yes, Chinese must gamble on Chinese New Year. It is our favourite pastime to play mahjong and card like blackjack and gin rummy. Before we even go to school to learn counting, we already know how to add up to 21 points. Hahaha.
I used to be very superstitious before I turned to Christianity. Long time ago, at about this time, I will be welcoming the God of Prosperity into my house to ensure a year fill with lots of wealth, good luck, health and happiness. But now, I am a Catholic and shall leave my fate in the hands of Jesus. Give us our daily bread….
LOL, see? I am all transparent. My sons took a lot of time to get the shutter speed really slow to take this ghostly photo so I feel it is only right I post it up on my blog. I hope you can still see the red WordPress t-shirt.
