09Nov Is there a Google pagerank update in November 2008?
The last Google pagerank update was on September 27, 2008. It was just a lapse of two months from July 27, 2008.
So, if we go by this trend, then, we shall see another Google pagerank on November 27, 2008.
Does it matter? Nay….I am just a pagerank freak who gets her kicks from the thrills and kills of the evil Google pagerank update. In fact, I have a whole category for Google pagerank just to remind self what happens when we have been naughty or nice.

erm sometimes maybe your blog has been penalized by google.So that why no pagerank till today.

Hey 5xmom,
I noticed that I have been getting a referral search engine visit to my blog by the term “site:abcd.com” (for e.g., abcd is my domain name) for the past few days. Being kpo, I went to check the IP and it seems like it is coming from big brother G??
It’s freaking me out in a way now. Not sure what is going on leh? I hope its not something bad…

So far nothing happen yet……but it may happen anytime from now, nobody knows…Now at least 5 of my niche blogs are getting PR2, hopefully Google will increase increase it or at least maintain the PR.

Google PR … Yeah, I used to have a site with PR 5.. Now it is zero. But, you know what? I have seen no difference in rankings and traffic. How could that be then, ey?

Good article about the PR. I was wondering about the updates myself. It can be really nerve-wracking waiting for them sometimes!

I think providing good content on a regular basis is a good thing to focus on for page rank. Spending too much time trying to figure out the rules could be spent on adding posts to your blog, right? That’s just my thoughts because I get crazy trying to assess what google is looking for to rank my Direct Sales Blog!

I don’t know about the rest but I just noticed my blog is now PR2. Last I checked was last month and it was unranked.

Nancy: Second on that.
Google PR has pretty much nothing to do, nor affecting the web traffics. Also Google keeps 2 separate PR values, the public and internal. So what you are seeing in the toolbar might not be the one.

Actually Google toolbar PR has updated at least twice since then:

THey have moved over (at least temporarilly to a 2-3 week update model.

Hi,
If a higher pagerank means more visits from Google searches, then it sure is a good thing.
But what I want is returning visitors, those are the most important ones.

It seems there was an update at the end of October or beginning of November. My new site was assigned PR0 and an older page went from PR3 to PR4. Maybe they are now updating more often, by small chunks of their database. Who knows?

I do not know if Google updates the pagerank, but I already has over 1 years with a PR4, every time Google does not put it more difficult to attract visitors to our site, Google wants all the web traffic for them, is not just be left to compete and I am trying to get by with Google Adsense.Pero really earn a pittance if you have it 5 to attract more visitors.
