I finally hit the USD10,000 mark last night. Actually I had hit the USD10K much earlier because the amount on the leaderboard does not include the referral fees I received.

This USD10K is earnings accumulated from October 2006. I wrote my first PayPerPost paid review on my parenting site MyMomsBest. The title was “Getting baby to sleep safely and how not to flatten a baby’s head” written on October 15th, 2006. I am still quite proud of that post and also all the subsequent 963 posts spread over many, many blogs.

I have always make it a point to write only relevant topics suitable for each of my blog. Of course, there may be some crappy jobs here and there but then, all the posts served it purposes. I.e. to help the advertisers to get better ranking on the search engines.

Do you know that USD10K is equivalent to RM34,000 here in Malaysia? I can get a very nice car already with that amount.

So, what did I do with the money I earned? Eheh, they are all in the bank in fixed deposit accounts. I have never drawn a single cent from the monies I earned from PayPal and Google cheques. That’s the nicest thing of being married. My hubby has to finance all my expenses while I just sit at home and see my money accumulates.

The other Malaysian who hit the USD10K mark earlier is Cyberpartygal. Another Malaysian who is getting close to the USD10K mark is shoppingmum.

And what is the greatest motivation for writing paid post to me? TO REMAIN ON THE ALL TIME TOP EARNERS LEADERBOARD. Really, that’s my only driving force.
