08Feb “I am a blogger, not a saint.”
This phrase suddenly popped into my mind as I was asking myself if I am a total biatch for taking advantage of a certain Hongkong actor who sent his computer to some shop for repair and got the hard drive hacked into. The guys at the shop of course found loads of photos of him with several married actresses and singers, squeaky clean image singers and all those innocent girls etc etc yadda yadda yadda.
My normally dead blogs have a spike in traffic and that is like a man with ED (erectile dysfunction) having a round of madu tualang or viagra. It increases as long as there is stimulation in the form of writing about things that attract the perverts.
Then, I realized…hey, I am not putting any photos. I am just stating a piece of my opinion. I didn’t condemn anyone. It is just business. The business of learning how to manipulate the search results. So, yeah, I am a blogger, first and foremost. I am not a saint. It wasn’t me who reported those news, false or truth. It wasn’t me who stole the images. It wasn’t me at all. I am merely doing what people who are obssessed with SERPs do, test out my skills. And it works.
So, remember the “I am a blogger, not a saint.”

I think you are right once blogging isnt about the individuals opinion it is dead (perhaps then it would be saintly)

I agree with you. Bloggers are merely reporting the scandal with their opinions thrown in. I don’t think it’s wrong. As you said, unless the person is the one who is the culprit… Furthermore, just a mention of this scandal and with the right keywords, your website will sure be a hit.
P.S. Yes, I’m one of them and I got thousands of visitors looking for this news on my site. :)

A blogger can also be heralded as saint if he or she does it well with strong consciousness of online etiquette.
