How to know if you have been plagiarised?

There was some buzz about people copying posts from others and make it their own. This is different from the scrappers who steal someone’s total contents. In fact, there are so many people taking others posts and make it as their own. Sometimes, it is disgusting because they will take a normal, mundane posts and make it like their own creation and post it on their Friendster and Multiply.

Check out Copyscape and see if you can find a ‘twin’ of your site. Otherwise, if some blogger with atrocious writing skills suddenly have perfect English, you can also try copying that phrase/sentence and paste it on Google search and see what the net trawls back. I had done it to one sucky, bad English tech site and found some amusing stuffs. I think the blog and blogger had long gone underneath.

Read my post written on 3 August 2006 with the same title.

And the hilarious stuffs I did to one site who stole both my contents and photos.

Remember – if you are going to earn a living from the net, earn it the hard way. Stealing contents is amounting to stealing money. Do you feel good doing it?

Stealing content is very common among the Chinese websites, I found even some big bing website copied my content and make it as their own thing :(

Plagiarising should not be condoned. It is tantamount to stealing.
