Today, I notice that 45n5 gave my blog an estimated value of USD8,829 based on the number of subscribers. However, before I can sit down and brag, I saw a huge drop on my Feedburner numbers. It stays at 103 now. My personal blog and my food blog too see the same thing. From over 200+ subscribers, the numbers hover around 100+.
Initially, I thought there is some glitches with my Feedburner Smith plugin as my webmaster/webhost, Bryan told me that my site crashed on Firefox twice and showed errors with the Feedburner plugin. So, I had disabled the plugin.
However, it doesn’t just happened to me only. JohnCow asked if this is another Google slap?
Well, I don’t care much about the feeds numbers because I never really promote it until now. In fact, I just put the plugin with the welcome message YESTERDAY. Doh! Talk about bad timing. LOL.
Ahhh….well, I am beyond caring anymore. I am a multi-tasking person, I guess I just go and build a few more new blogs then?
So, did your subscribers dropped?
ADDED :
Don’t panic, here’s what Feedburner said :
We’re aware of a drop in reported subscriber numbers for FeedBurner feeds as of Saturday (Nov. 3). Subscriber stats should start to return to their original values from Google/Feedfetcher with today’s reporting. There should be nothing to change or adjust in your FeedBurner account settings; thanks for the reports, and for your patience! (matt – FeedBurner Team)

(November 5, 2007 - 5:46 pm)I nearly freaked out when I saw my subscribers dropping from around 150 to 82! I love my subscribers more than google whatever pr numbers. The subscriber number shows actual people out there who take a keen interest in my blog and cared enough to click that orange button to keep me on their radars. They are far more valuable to me.
I want them back!!!!
