I just notice a new feature in Google Webmaster call the iGoogle Webmaster Tools Homepage.
I added it to my iGoogle and wow….I can now view all the data from my iGoogle. I no longer need to login to Google Webmaster. It is such a breeze to check my stats, data, most searched keywords….etc etc from iGoogle. Sorry I cannot provide a screenshot as those are things I prefer to keep private.
And I think I will soon go cuckoo with all these datas because I am totally addicted to staring at them, figuring out how to improve, what to do next and how to expand to get maximum traffic, maximum ads income and maximum everything.
If you are not exactly sure what I am talking about, just Google iGoogle and Google Webmaster Central. You need to know these if you are interested to make money blogging.
For example, the most basic is to know what are your hottest pages. Have your visitors come and go away with something useful? Are you giving them something that they want or do they leave with the WTF feelings?
Say it is ‘smelly armpit’ that got them there, are you getting ‘how to make smelly armpits smell good’ ads? No? Then, improve your post and test again. Sometimes, I get hit by sheer luck over my inane ramblings. Many years later, people keep landing on that page. So, what I do is to add a few serious paragraph there to capture their interest. But not too much, make sure they want to find the next place to go to and that, is where Google Adsense becomes the exit door for them.

I like the “hottest pages” but I also love looking at my referral traffic to see where all my hits are coming FROM. It always pays to maximimse places that love your website

Nice to see you around. Looks like we are all obsessed with those charts. I am more on the page rankings and get obsessed with being number 1. LOL
