Google Adsense cold hard cash in hand through Western Union Bank

That’s an awfully long title, I know. But it sums up what it means to finally being able to get cold hard cash in my hands instead of waiting for months for the cheque to arrive all the way from USA and then, months for the cheque to clear into our bank account.

Now it takes just a few steps :

1) Google will give you the MCTN number on your Adsense account.
2) Copy down the number and Google address in California, USA
3) Note the amount you are expected to receive

Find any bank that carries the Western Union bank sign. I chose CIMB in Queensbay Mall, Penang. Andrew Ooi withdrew his money from the Pejabat Pos. (Andrew, I can’t find the permalink to your post)

4) Fill in the form and you will have cold hard cash in hand. Remember to bring your IC with the name same as your Adsense account. In my case, I have to bring the person. ;)

No charges at all. The exchange rate I got from CIMB today is USD 1 = RM3.31

So, of course, I did not take the cash, cos that’s a lot of cash. LOL, ignore my boasting. We have it banked into our savings account in CIMB because who in their right mind carries around thousands of Ringgits in their pocket, right?

You can withdraw your money from any bank that has Western Union, not necessary the bank which you have an account.

We spent the rest of the day watching Bee Movie, with Jerry Seinfeld as the main vocal. RM24 on movie tickets, RM22 on popcorn and coke. Lemme see….that’s USD13.50 spent on movie for four, three popcorns and two cokes. Just two crappy paid posts to cover that. Cheap eh? So who doesn’t like being a Malaysian? Everything is darn cheap (if you count in USD).

Looks like the exchange rate is pretty much the same for everybody.
