I saw some feed where an automatic copyright is inserted at the top of every feed item, this may deter people from taking it that way (at least to some degree!).

Mine I think have been done by actually scraping the blogsite itself rather than the feed!

Several of my posts have just been 'splogged' too. I am turning my feeds back to summary mode but that tends to turn RSS readers away...Catch 22!

Interestingly I've switched the other way this week, for similar reasons... That might sound a little odd, let me explain!

I was seeing some of my posts being scraped to appear on other people's sites across web (and getting trackbacks from them - which I think are worth nothing!), BUT I was using summary feeds anyway - so they must have been scraping direct from my blog!

Hence I thought what the heck, I'll publish full feeds for a bit to satisfy my readers!

First you say it`s bad then admit to doing it yourself, but setting up your own level of acceptability. News feeds are somebody`s hard work too.

Like Matt says, you can`t do much about it. Best plan is to try and take advantage of it. Making summary feeds does mean you have to get all the juice up in the first few words. The current hot "olympic" word is at the bottom of your post and wont show on any rss searches.
