03Jul Extremely pissed with email forwards (a rant)
A few people have told me that my streamyx email account kept bouncing. I couldn’t receive any emails with attachement. One afternoon, out of frustration, I went to my church office and actually sat there to see that the clerk emailed the church bulletin and mass time to me. I haven’t received it for weeks and I couldn’t update the site.
I saw the clerk emailed me and yet, I couldn’t find it in my email box. (don’t ask why I didn’t use a USB, their PC doesn’t have a USB port, doh) So, I log in to my streamyx and found a shit load of email forwards from a few people! I had asked them politely to stop sending me email forwards of crappy prayers that say something like, “if you love God, forward this to 50 people and you will be blessed and if you don’t you will die soon kinda nonsence” or Powerpoint slides on how to fold clothes or what alerts etc.
Streamyx has filtered all these mails as spam in the spam bin at Streamyx. So, those rubbish took up all my memory and hence, all mails bounced. I was farking mad! I hardly use the streamyx account except for a few stuffs anyway. Urggh….so I hit the reply button and told all my good-intention friends that I do not want any emails from them.
Bah! I hate email forwards. All the time. From everyone. Geddit?

I personnaly don’t mind those forwarded mails, I just move them to a specific folder and read them when I am free or in the right mood

I used to send forwarded emails too, but that is like a decade ago. I stopped sending them one day because one of my net friends taroh me kao kao after I sent him one mail containing a website that was supposed to be for charity. http://www.thehungersite.com
That was the end of forwarded emails from me. Some forwarded emails are quite funny. Those that are like “send this to 50 people and…” are just plain annoying.

Heh. I am one of those people whom you cant send forwarded emails to. I’ll start replying you in a nice manner and after a while, I’ll block you if you still send them to me. Settle.
