22Nov Did the upgraded WP2.0.5 gives you more spams than usual?
I almost hate to log on to my dashboard each morning. Previously, it was manageable. Now, after the upgraded Wordpress 2.0.5, I found that the spams have increased at least four times. it seems like a spam comment comes in every single minute, or even more chronic.
I tried putting Askimet with Spam Karma latest version. But my comment count disappeared. After checking out all the threads on the WP Codex, my problems aren’t solved. So, I tried Askimet with Bad Behaviour. But the Bad Behaviour plugin doesn’t seem to work. I am too tired to go hunt for any more spam plugins. If you guys know what works with Askimet, please tell me before I bang my head on the PC.
The worst part is my regular commentors’ comments got thrown into the spam bin and I have to go rescue them from like 3-5 pages of spams. I am soooooo sick of scrolling.
BTW, I have one commentor who commented 23 times in one of my blog. I love the attention and feedback but 23 at one shot? I must either be a very good blogger or I am too kind. And I am speechless. How to respond to 23 comments in 23 posts? *sobs*

That’s because for the past few weeks, there was an upsurge in spam recently, you might also have noticed it in your mail as well.
Bad Behavior and Spam Karma works with Akismet especially Bad Behavior in its latest version. In what way does it not work for you?

I was a bit reluctant to upgrade to Ronan as my current 2.0.4 version runs fine. Newer versions, though claim to have better security, but may also come with little problems like this. I hope you will manage to solve it. Otherwise, use back the older stable version.
