15Nov Dear Google…..(I surrender)
Updated : I really surrender.
I stole this ‘We surrender’ black banner from JohnChow blog.
I shall not write paid posts anymore
I shall not sell text link anymore
I shall not write paid posts anymore
I shall not sell text link anymore
I shall not write paid posts anymore
I shall not sell text link anymore

I shall not sell text link anymore
I shall not write paid posts anymore
I shall not sell text link anymore
I shall not write paid posts anymore
I shall not sell text link anymore
I shall play by Google’s term
I shall be a good girl
I shall keep my nails clean
I shall change a new petticoat everyday
I will only worship Google god
I promise not to pull the ponytails of the bitches whose PR is higher than me
I promise not to snitch on others who write paid posts…Or do you want me to? LOL
From here on, I shall play by Google’s game
From now on, I shall sit down quietly and not challenge Google anymore
Kids, don’t try this at home. I have many blogs, I can sacrifice a few. If you have only one, chase the money. Not the PR. Take JohnChow’s words:
For me, surrendering to Google would cost way too much money. Sure, it will be nice to be ranked properly in their index but the traffic they would send wouldn’t come close to making up for the money lost. This is a business decision that each site will have to make on their own.

I’m just wondering. If your site doesn’t have the traffic then what money would there be to make?
Unless of course you’re uber established already and do not need it. Hence, the biggest mistake bloggers make - to me. Ignoring where your traffic counts.

OMG< I dont know what to do!!!
November 15th, 2007 at 9:42 pm
Darn… My PR also drop from 4 to 3. And I make less than US$5 per month. Write suffered, don’t write also suffered. sien.

moo_t - I made more than five digit, so I didn’t lose anything.
supermom - LOL, not that we can do anything.
danny - You obviously don’t get the joke hor?
November 15th, 2007 at 9:50 pm
a high PR doesn’t necessarily means high traffic although it helps.. don’t forget that..
November 15th, 2007 at 9:53 pm
rajawang - That’s why the last sentence! Nay, see what JohnChow said?

Nothing to worry la…as advertisers also no going to be so stupid depending on PR to search bloggers soon.
November 15th, 2007 at 11:38 pm
Thanks, Lilian,
You really cheer us up during this hard time. I feel much relieved now after reading this post and honestly,a bit motivated to keep on making money online…;P

Perhaps 5xmom, due to her high profile at PPP, can ask the folks there to simply drop PR as a metric due to what Google has done.

1. There is no such thing as a Google God?!
2. It’s probably just a glitch.
3. Everyone needs to relax.

does that mean that we should not write to many PPP?
November 16th, 2007 at 11:27 am
People at PPP and SR would not give in without a fight on this one. I am sure they are currently brainstorming on how to get around this.
November 16th, 2007 at 12:17 pm
well, it’s gonna be like this. if you think you blogging from your heart, then keep you blogging job. but if you blogging from your heart plus blogging for money, don’t bother about this. find alternative for this. furthermore, don’t angry with google because we don’t work for them!
still go tso many paid post programme what… smorty, loudlaunch, blogsvertise… V7N contextual programme. I just received 2 more assignments from V7N. I will put another one more entry about V7N after I back from sembahyang jumaat later after this. 3 assignments mean USD30.. (rm100)..

ahlost - Wuah…now you still ask this question? No paid post AT ALL.

It’s not Google’s error that businesses like PPP use PR for money.
Like 5xmom says: if you have more than 1 blog, you can easily burn up 1 blog’s PR with kind of skimming PPP :-)
It’s a business decision: PPP is a “work hard get rich quick sceme” until you burned up your PR. You don’t need any visitor to your blog, as that’s not in the PPP TOS.
If you want to make money with Adsense, then you better know how to attract visitors.
Play what you know best :-)
Meanwhile I have seen burned blogs in the previous Google PR downgrade who stopped blogging for money the next 3 months got upgraded again with the last PR update. So that’s the strategy I wanted to point out at Ah Pek’s blog Lilian…
