If you haven’t signed up with Twitter or Facebook and yet, hope to make money online blogging, please do so now.

I joined Twitter like two years ago when it was first introduced. However, I never make use of them until recently when I can use Wordpress plugin and Tweetdeck to make life easier. One little line on Tweetdeck and my Facebook account and even my blog is updated.

The best thing about Tweetdeck is how easy it is to manage keywords I am tracking. I shall not go into details because it is not difficult to manage it.

Tweetdeck is easily installed to your PC and you can track keywords that come up real time. For example, if I am stalking a certain personality, like myself hehehe, I just need to put the search word 5xmom. Anyone who talks about me will immediately showed up on my Tweetdeck panel. This is a little bit of how Technorati works but it is instant.

So, sometimes people freaked out how I know about certain things so fast. That’s my secret.

As for Facebook, if you are a sourpuss who join and try to spam people with your make money ideas, you won’t get very popular. But still it is fun to get connected and be informed. For example, I have Problogger, Darren Rowse as my Facebook ‘friend’ and I know what latest post he has just updated.

With Wordpress plugins and all the various social media sites and including Youtube, it is really easy to build the network. My Twitter account is this, http://twitter.com/5xmom.

If you are a blogger desperate for traffic and wish to find a place to broadcast your new post, you can sign up with Blogged.my and ping your posts.

If you are a Wordpress.org user like me, then, just sign up an account, add your long list of blogs, copy the ping URL over to your Setting > Writing > Update Services and let it roll on its own. It is a no brainer.

So far, the list of blogs appearing there looks good to me so that’s why I am giving it a buzz. I don’t know who develop the site but I hope there is no censorship.

There are other local blog aggregator services as well but some of them are concentrated to certain types of blogs. For example, Nuffnang Innit is like a bunch of teens blogs so I normally do not like to submit my posts there. What with monkeys who have nothing better to do than to nang and then, boast about it. Then, there is the old and reliable PPS but lately, my personal blog seem to ‘lag’, i.e. the ping doesn’t appear until many minutes later. I suspect I need to go through the Perbadanan Penyemakan Sampah (PPS) before my post is found suitable for the platform.

So, yeah, give Blogged.my a try before they close shop like so many other services.

Oh did I tell you I also had one blog aggregator before? But I was too lazy to maintain it. It is no fun administering a blog ping services where people take for granted and you don’t earn a cent from advertisements.

It is only recently that we foreigners are asked by these US companies to declare that we are not US citizens.

The form looks so complicated to me and so, I never bother to look. I meant to email it to my hubby to help me check what I am committing myself to. Since he is also busy, it looks like I won’t be getting the payments anytime soon.

I wonder if other Malaysians have filled in the forms for the US companies?

Please note that I am talking about the income we earned from US companies.

If you are making money through Malaysian ads companies like Nuffnang, remember that you have to declare your income to our local Malaysian income tax department if your total income (including your salaries etc) are above a certain figure. (I think it is RM3K per month?)

And don’t ask me if we Malaysians have to pay income tax for money we made from US companies. I don’t know. Some people said offshore income are not taxable. Some people said it is taxable. Wateva…

My new laptop comes with McAfee but it is expiring soon. I tried using Spyware Terminator but it bothers the hell out of me with the constant warning. So, I have uninstalled. I am going to uninstall the McAfee too.

So, I really need free virus protection ASAP.

Sheesshh….I hate Window Vista. I love my Mac. No need to bother about these virus shits.

I bought the domain for more than a year and never bother to even set up a Wordpress blog on it. But I went and set up a new Wordpress blog for that domain.

I added three posts.

I added a Sitemeter.

Then, I wait for traffic.

Within three days, MSN live search is already sending me lots of organic traffic.

After four days, Google has indexed the site.

Then, after about a week, I pasted my Google Adsense codes. So far, not clicks yet.

But it is very encouraging because I didn’t do any SEO to this new blog. I didn’t link it from my old blogs with pagerank because the blog is meant to be anonymous.

If you want faster indexing and getting organic traffic, you can link it from your old blogs. Or you can wait three days.
