I just declined a USD100 paid post. It took me so long to find what excuse to tell the advertiser without sounding like a prude.
Actually, it is not so hard to crap about some vibrator. I am very sure my readers will be amused and have plenty to talk about in the comment board. But I just can’t bring myself to be seen selling sex toys.
It is part of my religious faith, part of my readers’ expectation and part of my integrity. Heh, as if I have any.
Anyway, I think we have to have some principles and shouldn’t be swayed by the money factor. So, I am poorer by USD65. USD65 which I can buy a lot of stuffs, including a rabbit. Hehehe.

I think that is not religion wise when we don’t want to talk about sex related stuff or maybe gambling related. This is about principal. Some client also don’t like site/blog with sex related content. You just lost $65 opportunity but I’m sure there are more better offer to comes.

You are a smart boy, sex post will hurt your blog, You chose decline, and couldn’t get the $65, but i think you can made more money in the future.

ya la.. I too faced the same problem, promotion of sex sites. But since i totally disagree with porn and other illicit pictures/contents, it’s best to stick to our dignity and policy.
heck man.. we can even be charged in certain countries for promoting porn. for USD100 and then to face a sentence of 5yrs jail? no way, they can keep the money while i rob my atm machine.
