I think,If your blog has relevant content, you will be able to make some money through advertising.
Google ad sense and adbrite and many other services work in the same way.
All you have to do is make a lovely site with amazing content (remember, no images and flash – just text sites)

Ads pick up on the content and people that visit your page, will hopefully click on these ads that are relevant to what you are displaying. Every click that the ad gets you get paid… Every month you get a check from these companies.
