So you have heard people whine and whine that Adsense doesn’t make money. When you failed to do something, it is always good to garner support from others and get them to follow along your failed path. It is less lonely that way. But when someone who doesn’t even achieve their first USD100 payment from Adsense tells other to take off Adsense because it doesn’t make money, I am like WTF?

I personally have a few blog buddies whom I coached and they do see ads income. I do have access to a personal friend (wakaka) Adsense and using whatever I learnt, I do see income coming to this friend’s blog. Therefore, I have observed and analyzed Adsense somewhat thoroughly. I also have Adwords account and roughly knows how Adsense works. And no, we don’t depend on ‘kesian dan simpati klik’.

I was in contact with KahSoon, LiewCF and PaulTan for like 3 years ago and at that time, all of us were just beginning with our ‘My first Adsense cheque’ joy. Now, Paul is making good income, as what I overheard from the grapevine. His blog was mentioned on National News when Proton BLM was mentioned. Those are four digits income Malaysia per day. Sabahan too is another Adsense and Adwords expert and he also have his secret blogs that make money for him.

So, who says Adsense doesn’t make money?

For the first time, I shall reveal my Adsense income so that new bloggers are encouraged.

My Adsense account started from August 2005.

I shall show you three of my blogs. That’s the page impression.

Now, let’s pause and hear what can cause a person’s account to be killed :

1) The same gang of friends clicking your blog every day because you hinted. They may have clicked it every day, hence, leaving a trail for Google to pick up.

2) Your child, wife, sister, colleagues who are using the same IP and same PC as you accidentally clicked on your site because you leave the page opened. I told one blogger from East Malaysia that could be the possibility because his account was suspended. He wrote an appeal and his account was reinstate again. When you have kids around, you have to make sure that your blog is never left open because those flashy ads always attract them.

I am sure Google has some system in place where they will immediately halt any multiple clicks. So, don’t waste time trying to kill someone’s Adsense by multiple clicking. It doesn’t work. Otherwise, everyone’s Adsense will be dead.

I think it is really foolish to try to compare our Adsense income with probloggers and those residing in overseas. Google’s payout is different. Those countries see better conversion, i.e. people who checked out the ads, buy something. Over here, we do not have the same kind of market so our per click is much less. Yes, 3 cents will add up to become USD3 or RM10. Compare that to our local advertisers, Goolge Adsense is still much better. We have no chance with affiliate programs so what other choices do we have then? Therefore, Adsense is the way to go.

The above is the Adsense of three of my blogs. These may not be the same blogs I showed you in the second photo. Or it could be the same. It doesn’t matter. What matter is I do make USD6K from there. USD6K is RM18K. This is residual income. I enjoyed blogging, I earn some side income. And the side income is a lot of money to me.

So, now who said Malaysians cannot make money from Adsense?
