Actually…I can live with the scrapers

My contents get scraped all the time. Sometimes, an inane personal post with the word politics ended up in so many blogs scrapping political stuffs.

Out of boredom, I decided to do the unusual. Normally, I just mark all as spam in my moderation queue and move on. You can’t win ’em so live with ’em. However, I decided to visit those sites and oh boy, so many of them have pageranks. Green juice which is so hard to find nowadays.

To those who blogged like a horse, churning out good articles, do research and so on to get a pagerank, you may want to strangle self. They get their pageranks just because they have articles scraped from our blogs. Of course, these sites just take an excerpt and provide a link back to me. I get the link, I get the juice, I apply no follow so they don’t leech anything from me. The only problem I have is when they name me Nick Douglas or Anon. or Toxic Vern or something like that. (yeah, you don’t need to tell me these are automated)

Works for me. Because there is no other way to go about it. So, let me enjoy the links and the PR juice. Some sites are even in Technorati and they gave me Technorati authority as well. *sips alfalfa chlorophyll because I love green juices*

Yea, I like the links too, obviously, what I don’t like is submitting articles to big pr’s like ezine, and ending up with the article being indexed by some N/A blog that got there too soon. Though as long as the source of the article is on your site, and Google scanned it first, it’s the best we can do.
