A peek into Advertiser’s dashboard on PPP and specific area targeting

Location targetting

If you are not aware, [tag]PayPerPost[/tag] now allows location targeting. What this means is when an advertiser sets up an opportunity, they have the choice to select where they want their opps to appear. I welcome this move because it filter out opps that are not mean for certain location   and hence, reduce my time in reading the fine prints.

This screenshot is taken from my dashboard as an advertiser of PayPerPost. PayPerPost has explained what area specifics is on their PPP’s community blog. And no, you cannot cheat the system by using a fake address. For example, if you live in Timbuktu, you cannot claim to be a US citizen. This is because you need to submit your tax number if you are a citizen of USA.

I can foresee less opps for us Asians but then, this is   the advertisers’ choice. So, there is no point mulling over it. Just improve your blog and advertisers will still come to you through PPP Direct and other methods.

But I have been benched or banned!

I know a lot of posties are frustrated why they keep seeing the red letters ‘You are not allowed to see this opportunity because you are probably benched or banned.’ I subscribe to the PPP opps through RSS and I do see a lot of opportunities on them but not on the dashboard. Well, I had mentioned in the previous post about this. Don’t take it personally. It is an option that advertisers can choose. Note the little box at the bottom of the above screenshot? Advertisers can bench us from taking their opp for 30 days.

The above two moves may cause us to have less opps but then again, it will also open up more opportunities for more posties.

Come on, we are talking about international shipping and selling worldwide. I would really like to see if the advertisers really leave Asia out.

By the way, you are right we should work hard on our blogs and in long run,we will see results and money, right ? Good news…I start to see more accepted bids at SponsoredReviews these few days !! Woot…I have 4 tasks waiting to be done.

    Lilian,
I am curious do you have a ReviewMe advertiser account that you can check whether they also have started some sort of geographical targeting?

This past week, I have came across a couple of opps in ReviewMe when I clicked “view”, it said I don’t meet the criteria, which never happened before. It has always been if I can see the opps mean it’s available to me!

I have not much time to fight for opps over tiga P, ReviewMe has been my main taukeh last month, hope it’s not dying too.

[…] Payperpost segment out bloggers in other locations? If you would like to find out how, hop over to Make Money blog. From now onwards, I doubt Asians will see abundant of opportunities with Payperpost because […]
